We have two boys teams playing in this age group, Cockermouth JFC and Cockermouth AFC.

During the winter months, training is at Cockermouth School Astro on Tuesdays between 7.30pm and 9pm. As the evenings get lighter later in the season, this may change to Tarn Close.

Cockermouth JFC play in the Penrith League, with games being held on a Sunday and home games taking place at Cockermouth School – KO 10.30am.

Cockermouth AFC play in the West Cumbria  League, with matches being held on a Saturday and home games taking place at Cockermouth School – KO 10am.

Teams in this age group play 11-a-side. All players attending a game get to play for at least approximately half the match.

At U16 players have started to settle into certain positions on the pitch, although rotation may still be applied by coaches, and where needed in matches depending on player availability.
